New Delhi, India September 13, 2008 in conjunction with the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), Indian Society for Gastroenterology (ISAG) and Asia Pacific Digestive Week (APDW 2008) and funded in part by a non-restricted educational grant from Danone Research and Sanofi-Aventis.

ISAPP convenes 6th meeting November 9-11, 2008 in London Ontario, Canada. This is a restricted, by-invitation meeting and will include keynote lectures and breakout discussion groups covering topics of safety, efficacy, clinical impact and emerging technologies as they relate to probiotics and prebiotics. Probiotics are live microorganisms which when administered in adequate amount
confer a health benefit on the host (FAO
2001).
Prebiotics are non-digestible (by the host) food ingredients that have a
